I have repeatedly asked mods and Tyson to please respond to my request. A user keeps repeatedly DMing me inappropriate comments about very weird things– like my body, my kids, my parenting, etc.
Instead of engaging with this clearly unhinged member, I have asked multiple times for her to be blocked from continuing to message me. I have heard NOTHING, except my comments and threads keep getting deleted. SO, I know a mod is out there reading, because they keep deleting, but no one is responding to me.
What this tells me is: it’s ok to go to DM and be a total bitch for no reason, in fact– this site is encouraging it by their radio silence to me. I never once resorted to personal attacks with the user in question. I respectfully, openly, in a public format disagreed with what she had to say. I did not attack her as a mom, as a wife, her body, her bodily choices, etc.
I’d appreciate a thoughtful response to me on how the WB team will address users that engage in her behavior. Its freaking 2021, get with the program. People don’t want to engage in content with a website that doesn’t do anything to help promote thoughtful conversation, even when that conversation happens to be in disagreement at times.
I have always spoken my mind on this site, but I don’t take it to DM’s and don’t stoop. Even when I have strongly disagreed, me and the poster have always hashed it out in the forum and moved along.
