I have received an offer from an individual to purchase my wedding dress I posted on the Classifieds on wedding bee. I have asked the potential purchaser to send a cashier’s check from her bank to my PO Box address for payment before I send the dress. Her reply to me was her bank needs my actual address and cell phone number to send me the cashier’s check. I do not want to give out my personal information with all the scams out there. Can I decline to give this information and decline the sale if she insists on this?
Another question I have is I received a message through Weddingbee from a second potential buyer, however, he asks me to respond to his offer directly to his e-mail address. Is this common? or should all communication be done through Weddingbee?

If any part of the transaction feels “off” it’s advised to not continue with the sale.
Here is more information regarding scams involving the use of cashiers check

Hshoults : Sharon Finn and I think I may have another from a Fred Parker, but I am only communicating with him through Wedding Bee, and haven’t gotten far enough to know if he’s legitimate or a scam. Sharon Finn was asking for personal information, address, cell phone number in order for her bank to send me a cashier’s check, and I’m not buying it. She wouldn’t send the check to my PO Box that I use for all of my mail.
